KHETHOKUHLE PRISM STONES (PTY) LTD is a start-up business whose primary intention is to participate in the diamond trading economic segment.
The company has one member who is also the proprietor, Mr. Sibusiso Mbuso Hlongwane (holding 100% of the shares). The member is taking an active interest in the day to day operations of the business and thus will devote his full attention to running the business.
The company has deliberately chosen to focus in the trading of rough diamonds, i.e. source rough diamonds from producers, licensed dealers and the State Diamond Trader. The plan envisages the establishment of a strong network of buyers from the beneficiation segment to whom sales will be made on a sustainable basis.
The member of the company has empowered himself and the company by embarking on diamond industry education programs as part of building the capacity that will put the company in good stead for effective business participation.
The plan is to process 100 carats per month. This would be increased annually by 12% for the foreseeable period of 5 years.
The stones will be sourced primarily in four SADC countries, viz; Botswana, Lesotho, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa at the average of US$ 400 per carat.
